Re: NET exam after M.Tech in Remote sensing applications

For appearing for the NET exam it is a must to have completed the Master's course. However there is relaxation for those in final year. You can appear for exam provided that at the time of joining you should have completed MTech course. Since you have pursued Remote Sensing during M.Tech the most appropriate optional subject would be applied geology. There will also be questions from areas like Earth, Atmospheric Science and also Ocean Science as part of this subject. It is advisable to cover all the areas related to the subjects. Be thorough in the basics. Thereafter solve as many papers as possible. There is a lot of reference material available in the market. Joining some training institute is also advisable.

Re: NET exam after M.Tech in Remote sensing applications

NET exam is carried out in order to select eligible candidates to different lecture posts and also for PhD programs. As to appear in this exam students need to have a Masters degree. Candidates must make a note that the subject selected in the NET exam must be in the similar fields of that of the Masters degree. As you have an M.Tech in Remote Sensing, select a subject from this field only. This will include subjects from earth science like atmosphere, earth, planets etc. All these come under the applied geology subject. Candidates must be well prepared as to qualify in the NET. Extensive dedication and hard work is the only method as to face success in this exam.
