My son want to become a physician. What are the merits and demerits if he opt Non-medical with biological science as additional subject?

his first target should be to get at least 60% in medical stream.
If he takes non-medical stream along with biology as additiona subjects .the merits of these will be
1. He will be able to apear both in medical and engineering entrance.
2. If he fails to get seat in medical then he can go for engineering.
Demerits.
1. Extra burden on mathematics
2. He has to extra hard work.

You should motivated him to go according to his aim.
As he wants to be a physician he must take medical stream in his Hs course.
He has to get at least 60% in PCB to make himself eligible for medical entrance like
AIIMS
AIPMT
AFMC
WB-JEE
Your state PMT
etc
If he opt non-medical stream with biology then following demerits may arise.
1. He may not be able to make eligible himself for medical entrance.
2. He has to do extra hard work
3.extra burden of mathematics
but he may get following merits
1. He may be able to make himself eligible for both medical and engineering entrance.
2.by chance he does not get seat in medical then may be able to read engineering.
3. If he takes mathematics it will help him in physics and chemistry.
