    Hello Sir,
    as you will be must be aware sir that the IES exam is an exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)
    This exam is conducted for the engineers and perspective science students in the field of defence services of India and other government departments for the posts of engineers.
    Through this exam the engineers get very good jobs in the Indian government.

    The minimum eligibility for the Indian Engineering Services is that you have to a bachelor degree holder in technology(B.TECH) or engineering(B.E.). Even the bachelor degree holders in science are also eligible.
    You have to be atleast 21 to 30 years of age while writing this exam.

    Sir since your son has completed his b.tech so he is surely eligible for that and also for......success....

    I think you are Eligible for Engineering Entrance Exam.

    The candidate should have a graduate degree In Engineering from a recognized University and graduation In Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics and telecommunication Engineering.

    The Age should be not below 21 yrs and not above 30 yrs as on August 1st of the year of Examination.

    The IES (Indian engineering services ) entrance exam allows only four branches to appear:
    —Civil Engineering.
    —Mecahnical Engineering.
    —Electrical Engineering.
    —Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
    There is no minimum percentage required to a appear in the exam.

    yes your son is eligible for attending the I.E.S. examination from electrical branch. I.E.S. paper consist of general test, electronics paper 1 and electrical paper 2

    Eligibility criteria for IES examination is a degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent. MSc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain.

    Age Criteria: Minimum age of the candidates must be 21 to 30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

    Sorry, your son cant apply for IES exam. This exam is conducted only for the students who are of MECHANICAL, CIVIL, ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.
    But for power engineering, There is a good scope in Automobiles, steel, cement industry, manufacturing plant, drilling and mining industry, biotechnology. etc.
    In public sector also you can have job in Railways, Indian Air force, Indian Army.

    yes, ofcourse your son is eligible for IES exam after completing b.tech with Power engineering mechanical, candidates eligible for IES exam should have a B.E/B.tech degree with many branches like EEE, ECE, ME, EI, Civil engg., chemical engg. etc from any recognized university.

    Yes,your son is eligible for IES.All Engg graduates are eligible for IES.Notification for IES released in every year February Actually exam is conducting on every year may/june.The concerned website for notification is www.upsc.gov.in

    yes your son is absolutely eligible for the IES entrance.
    the qualification required is the candidate must be a graduate from any discipline from any university.
    you must have a age between 21 to 3o years of age.
    student of final year are also eligible.

    Yes, he is eligible. Students from any branch of electrical engineering are eligible for IES exam.

    Your son being a Power mechanical engineer is not eligible for IES (Indian Economic Service) Examination..

    As candidate appearing Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Busines Economics/Econometrics.

    Other eligibility :-

    - student must citizen of India or a migrated candidate from neighboring countries.
    - Age must not be below 21 years and not above 30 years...
    - Upper age relaxation si provided to candidate belonging to Reservation/ disabled students.

    Your son is not eligible for IES(INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES) because only those candidates who have
    a graduation degree from the following specified branches is eligible for filling the form
    The branches of engineering are:

    1)ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
    2)ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
    3)MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
    4)CIVIL ENGINEERING

    Age limit:
    A candidate should have an age between 21 to 30 years.3 years relaxation for OBC candidates
    and seven years of relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

    Sir,if your son has completed Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university,then definitely he can appear for Indian Engineering Service exam.
    Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once to take qualified students into different government service as Engineer.

    To appear for Indian Engineering Service exam,your son should have complete graduation degree in any one Engineering course mentioned below from a recognized university.
    >>Mechanical Engineering
    >>Civil Engineering
    >>Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering
    >>Electrical Engineering
    And his age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Indian Engineering Service exam notification will release for this year on 25th Feb 2012 ,closes on 24th March 2012.And exam will held on 15th April 2012.

    UPSC Engineering Services Exam 2012 Notifications of Date: 25th Feb' 2012
    Last Date of form submission: 26th March' 2012 (Monday).
    Date of UPSC Enggg Services admission test will be conducted on 15th June'2012 (Friday) & duration will be of 3 days.

    IES Exam will be Pattern like this:
    This is devide two papers

    Paper 1 comprise of objective question and Paper.
    Paper 2 contains conventional paper.
    Paper 2 will be test of 200 marks.

    Eligibility Qualification:
    Age limit is:--
    you must be Minimum age 21 to 30 years.

    Educational Eligibility:
    A degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

    In fact IES exam is only for the engineers.
    So your son can give the exam of IES………….
    This exam is conducted by the UPSC. It is a tough exam so for this one should do hard work and give his maximum time for the preparation.

    Yeah your son is well eligible for IES-Indian engineering services exam if he satisfies other categories too.

    IES exam is conducted every year by UPSC for recruitment of engineers.
    The engineers are selected from the fields:

    1.Mechanical
    2.Civil
    3.Electrical
    4.Electronics and Communication

    ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:

    1.You must be an engineering graduate in the above mentioned streams.
    You arent required any particular percentage.Just a pass is enough.

    2.If you are a Msc graduate in Radio physics , telecommunication , electronics you can apply.

    3.You must be aged between 21 to 30


    Number of attempts possible:

    1.Open category- 4

    2.OBC-7

    Sorry Your Son Cannot Apply for IES Exam.
    The Exam is open only for Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and ETC Engineering.
    But to say you there is great scopes in Automobile, Steel, and other manufacturing plants like drilling and Mining.
    Also you can Join Railways, Indian Air force, Indian Army.

    IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

    If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
