    According to my knowledge you are not eligible to apply for IES examination because the candidate should born not earlier than 2nd January 1982 and not later than 1st January 1991 . So , you can't apply for this year of Engineering Service examination . After completing your graduation your eligible to apply for this examination . To apply for this examination , the candidate must have a satisfy the Education qualification , Age limits for Engineering Service examination . It is very important .

    you are eligible for IES(INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE)this exam will held under UPSC,
    The age limit for this exam:
    >>for general students the age between 21-30 years
    >>For OBC students it extends to 3 years
    >>For ST/SC students it extends to 5 years
    And the qualification occurs for IES:
    >>You must complete your B.TECH with these branches only
    **CIVIL engineering
    **ELECTRICAL engineering

    UPSC Engineering Services Entrance Examination.


    Engineering Services Examination is a reputed exam conducted by the Union Public Service Comission (UPSC), India every year for the recruitment to engineering services in government sector.

    Recruitment will be for four categories of engineering which are:

    >>Civil Engineering
    >> Mechanical Engineering
    >>Electrical Engineering
    >>Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

    UPSC Engg Services Exam Pattern:

    The UPSC Engg Services entrance exam consist of two papers.
    Paper 1:

    Engg Services Exam Eligibility Qualification:

    Age Criteria:

    >>Your age must be 21 to 30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination.

    >>However, certain categories of persons including departmental candidates as specified in the Commission's Notice as published in the national news papers such as Employment News etc,.,are eligible for age relaxation.

    Educational Eligibility Criteria:

    >> A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.

    You can't apply now as the submission process is finished on March.. You can write next year i.e on 2013 and you are eligible then..

    Yes , You are applicable for IES exam because in this time your age is over 21 years old.

    Details of IES exam is given below.

    IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

    If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam


    1.Civil Engineering

    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.


    Final year student also eligible for IES exam .


    Number of attempts for IES exam is


    For general student it is 4.


    And for OBC it is 7 times.

    Yes, you are eligible for Engineering services examination because you have attained the age of 21 years and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering graduate degree course in any one of the discipline :

    ~~ Electrical Engineering
    ~~ Electronics & Communications Engineering
    ~~ Civil Engineering
    ~~ Mechanical Engineering

    If you have completed your Graduation in any one of the discipline then you are eligible for IES Examination.

    To apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    But for this year examination Notification last date was already Over and if you have not appeared for this examination this time, then you have missed the chance because the last date of apply for this examination was already completed on 09/April/2012.

    The examination will be held soon on 15/June/2012.

    The selection in this examination is based on written examination followed by Personal Interview and Medical test and those who cracked all these stages will become IES Officer.

    AGE LIMITS:21-30 years on 1st august of the year of examination,upper age limit relax able for sc/sts,obcs and certain other catogiries.

    My friend you are eligible for the IES exam,as you have crossed 21 yrs age,so you are eligible for this exam but only if you have completed your engineering degree.


    IES examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of the engineers to the many departments like railways etc.

    Yes you are eligible for the IES exams because you lie in the age range of 21 to 30 years.

    To be eligible to appear for the IES you should be pursuing the engineering degree from the following branches.
    1. Civil Engineering
    2. Mechanical Engineering
    3. Electrical Engineering
    4. Electronics & Communications Engineering

    You must be a graduate from the above branches of engineering or in the final year of graduation of the course.

    Your age must be between 21 to 30 years and there is some relaxation in the age for the Reserved category candidates i.e 3 and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST respectively.A relaxation of 10years is given to Ex service man

    There are two papers conducted PAPER -I and PAPER- II and both the sections contain the Questions from your branch.

    Yes you are eligible for the exam.The eligibility criteria to apply for the exam is

    A candidate must have got Degree in any one of the following engineering streams from a reputed college:

    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics & Communications Engineering
    Civil Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering

    Those who have got M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject can also apply for the exam.

    The candidates should not be less then 21 years .Since you are born on year 1991 which means that you can apply for this exam .

    The upper age limit for the examination is 30 years .There is some relaxation given in upper age limit to the reserved caste students .
