MSW is one of the course offered by IGNOU. They do update the course content on a regular basis. The duration for this course is two years. There are no age bars for pursuing the course. Also it is a must that the candidate applying for the course should be a graduate. The cost for the course is Rs 20100/-. This is the current fees and may change for the next academic year. There are no study centers in Mumbai for this course. The scope depends on the area of specialisation. Like if the candidate is pursuing a course in the field of criminology then they can work in jails, sub jails. If they pursue in the field of psychiatry then they can work in hospitals, old age homes etc.
