First of all let me tell you that do not skip a chance as in CA exams the person who has cleared the exam and become in the least attempt has more value then that of the CA who has cleared the exam in many attempts so its better to go for the exam in June. One more thing that i want to tell you is that if you not get passed in this attempt then also you will get an idea about the exam and paper pattern and the more preparation needed to clear the exam in next attempt

Okay now coming back to CPT :-

There are mainly four subjects which are there in CPT :-
Maths
Accounts
Law
Economics

And most of the subject are those which you have already studied in your class 12th so i think you should devote now most of your time to your studies and then you will gonna clear the exam easily. There is no minimum time frame as the subject is vast and it all depends upon the preparation that you already done in your class 12th.

Admission Process and CA Entrance Exam Pattern

1. CPT – Common Proficiency Test is the most important examination to be cleared by the candidates in order to enter the area of chartered accountancy.
2. Common proficiency test is conducted 2 times in a year in the months of June and December.
3. CPT includes 4 subject tests that the candidate is required to clear. The subjects are as follows:
• A: Accounting
• B: Mercantile Laws
• C: General Economics
• D: Quantitative Aptitude Test
4. CPT is a 2 hours exam and is divided into 2 sessions each. CPT is an objective type 200 marks exam with negative marking for wrong answers.
5. The CPT examination requires the candidate to secure 50% marks for qualifying.

CPT is an entrance exam for the CA.

It is first level in the CA course.

it requires minimum 12th std.

After that you can go for CPT.

The minimum time require for CPT is 6 months.
