    hello guest.
Bachelor’s degree is the basic qualification required for P.O post. No cut off percentage is required to attend CWE of IBPS. SBI consider candidates with a minimum of 65% in graduation for P.O post. OBC and other reserved category candidates need to have at least 60% marks only. Private Banks also recruit graduates to P.O post, irrespective of marks percentage.

For getting into any of the public sector bank other than SBI you need to write the IBPS exam.
If you have written this exam and gets qualified then you can uses this valid score card then you use it for whole one year.
Please note that final year candidates are not eligible for the examination but if you have complted degree/any equivalent qualification from recognized university then you gets eligible for the IBPS exam, even percentage is not the criteria and computer literacy is also not mandatory.
There is no limit for appearing for the IBPS exam.Candidate can apply any number of times but he must meet all the required educational qualfication, age etc.

Re: Minimum required marks in graduation to be eligible for appearing in bank exams?

    My dear friend.

Bank exams are mainly of 2 types.

Bank Clerk exams and Bank PO exams.

IBPS mainly conducts the Bank exams.

It stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection.

Apart from IBPS exams there are other Banking exams also conducted by SBI and ICICI etc.

Now as far as the percentage criteria is concerned i want to tell you that basically there is no need for any fixed amount of percentage in the clerical exams.

Clerical exams require the candidate to be passed in 12th.

If a person have done 12th with any percentage in any stream he/she is eligible for the Bank Clerk exam conducted by all types of banks.

Now as far as the PO exams are conducted there is some requirement of percentage.

    PO exams ask for Graduation.

The candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university in any field.

There is no need for any percentage requirement for the IBPS PO exam.

But for the SBI PO exam the candidate must have done his her graduation with at least 60% marks.

ICICI also asks for above 50-55% marks in graduation.

So as you can see there is no percentage requirement in the clerical sector.

But Percentage requirement is required for the PO exams.

So it is good to keep the percentage above 60% in graduation.

Also the candidate must have good computer operating skills for both the PO as well as the Clerical Sector.

    Thank You.

    Regards
    tanveersandhu.
