Re: MCA or MBA in IT and systems has more scope.

Since you are from the computer science role both the areas are good in their own aspects. Both the areas have good scope. It depends on what area you are interested in. If you would like to go in for programming field then MCA is more apt. It is a pure systems oriented course. However if you are more interested in the management field then MBA is more apt. By pursuing an MBA you can still go in for MBA if interested but mostly you will be getting offers in management role. You need to decide for yourself which area to select.

Re: MCA or MBA in IT and systems has more scope.

In the IT industry, if you want to have a successful career then MCA is surely look upon as a preferred choice over M.Sc IT by large companies. One other difference of these courses is that, MCA is a 3 year course and MBA is a 2 year course. There are many software jobs available after getting an MCA from a reputed institution. With an MCA one can enter in to careers like Software programmer, Systems Analyst etc. These are some of the basic jobs. A MCA degree is well appreciated in the job industry as it consist of application oriented syllabus. The syllabus of MBA is more of management oriented. Even though, with these differences, it is possible to get good jobs in IT sector with both degrees.

I think MBA would be a better choice for you, MBA would be a different field from what you have studies, pursue MCA, only if you are further interested in Computers...
    How to apply for MCA..?

Students who would like to join the MCA course must have a pass in graduation with more than 60 percent marks. They need to write an entrance exam as to get admission into the MCA course.

dear friend since you want to go for IT and systems i suggest you to go for MCA rather than MBA , because IT and systems contains more about programmes and softwares ,so if you study MCA it will give you more knowledge about IT and systems ,so if you really wish to go for IT and systems then you may please go for MCA

All of them have good scope.

The important thing that matters is what type of job you are expecting for.

Being a CS graduate I can guess I you had good command over programing languages. If so then of course MCA is you destination. Candidates having graduates in with BCA or B.sc (CS) find MCA the much better in all respect- study, job, pay package, job satisfaction etc. However, if any how you wont get satisfied with the job and opportunities after MCA you can further opt for MBA (IT/System). But once you complete your MBA it would be hard enough for you to revert back to MCA. Basically MBA will fetch you a job from administration side which would not be so challenging one as compared jobs of MCA like- Software developer, Software tester, Security expert etc. One more thing if you want to opt for MBA then go for specialization in 'System' rather then IT as recommended for CS graduate.

    Hi Dear ,
As we will talk about the both the streams i.e MBA and MCA ,these both are like north and south pole .Why ?????????? Because one completely relates to the IT and computer science field and whereas MBA relates to management field . So ,both have different scopes in their fields .

    hello

compared to MCA ,MBA (IT) is the best

the only problem is that you need to relocate in the company you join as an employee
you will get good salary in software companies if you finish the MBA (IT) ,
in addition to IT you can take HR where the scope is very very wide compared to other specialization ,
since you have good exposure to computer science you can opt for MBA (IT/HR)

    all the best

MBA or MCA both are good. But after BCA, i think MCA is better, you will have more job opportunities after MCA. So, if you want to make your career in software field, then MCA is the best option for you and you will definately get good salary pacakge after
completing this course. So, just go for MCA, its better field for you. Otherwise its
    totally depends on your choice.......

hii, MBA is more scope than the MCA as more companies are taking mba for the management side because for the software development they have already took the engineering people. They also given very high salary upto 6 laks per annum, and the work will be easy and simple.you can draw even more salary depending upon your work.

well MCA is designed for IT and systems only..

MBA is mostly for management courses.
so MCA has more scope for IT and systems .

If you are intrested in technical studies further ,
then go for MCA. Your technical knowledge will
only get wider and better through MCA and not MBA.
After MCA you can work as a software devoloper,
    programmer, software testing , etc.
Wheras MBA degree will primarly focus on
Buisness administration and will impart you
    Buisness and managerial skills.
My advice would be to go for a MCA degree,
then pursue MBA through distance learning programme
    side by side.

MCA - Masters In Computer Applications

MBA - Masters In Business Administration

From the above the abbrievations you must have under stood that MCA is the best course which is required to work in computer field. As you have done B.sc computer science as your Under Graduation and your target is to work in a good IT company you can just apply for the job even now or if your sure about doing Post graduation best thing is to do MCA.
