    Is Maths necessary for CLAT Exam or not? If we don't opt Maths, Will it be a problem for my career?

    No, mathematics is not a compulsory subject for the CLAT exam. The CLAT is an All India Exam which is conducted for selecting the candidates for the undergraduate or post graduate level programs in LLB. You need to score at least 50% of marks in the 12th class or graduation level. There will be relaxation for the reserved categories. You need to attend this entrance exam and based on the score in the entrance exam, you will be selected for the course. Mathematics is not a compulsory subject while pursuing the LLB. There will not be any problem in the near future if you do not opt for the maths subjects at any levels in LLB. But, it is important for the candidates to have a basic level knowledge in mathematics subject as it will be helpful in any area.

    I m a student of science and studying in 11 std next year i want to take PCB and not maths, so what are the career options in which maths is not important?

    CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and this examination is Conducted and Organised by National Law University, Jodhpur. This examination is Conducted by 14 National Law Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes : LLB and LLM.

    To apply for this examination you have to complete your 12Th examination or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Board with not less than 50% marks in aggregate, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for Undergraduate CLAT Examination. To apply for LLB Course, your age should not be more than 20 years.

    To apply for Post-Graduate Programmes, you should have obtained a LL.B/B.L Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate, Final year candidates are also eligible for CLAT Examination.

    You have 2 Option to apply for CLAT Examination :

    >> Online
    >> Offline.

    Printed Application Forms along with the CLAT-2012 Information Brochure will be available at the designated branches of the State Bank of India OR in any of Law Schools mentioned above against payment of Rs 3000 Only.

    You can also Fill the CLAT Application form Online By visit the official website after declaring the Notification.

    The Notification of CLAT Examination will be declared on 02/Feb/2012. So please wait for The Notification and then apply for CLAT Examination.

    CLAT Examination is Objective and there are 200 question are asked in this examination. The question in this examination will be asked form these areas :

    >> English including Comprehension : 40 Marks
    >> General Knowledge/ Current Affairs : 50 Marks
    >> Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) : 20 Marks
    >> Legal Aptitude : 50 Marks

    The meaning of CLAT is "Common Law Admission Test".This examination is Conducted by National Law University.

    Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised test for admission to prominent National Law Universities in India. The test is taken after the 12th grade for admission to graduation (also known as Bachelor's) courses in Law. This exam was conducted for the first time on 11 May 2008.A total number of 1037 seats from seven law schools were offered to be filled by the test.


    Eligible Criteria for Common Law Admission Test -

    Educational Qualification

    To be eligible for taking Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a candidate should have passed Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination. The minimum required percentage is:General Candidates: 50% marks in aggregate,SC/ST/ OBC* and Persons with Disability*: 45%.


    Age Limit:

    The MAXIMUM age of the candidate on July 01 of the year of CLAT Entrance Exam should be as :General Candidates: 20 years,SC/ST/ OBC* and Persons with Disability*: 22 years

    COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST



    CLAT:COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST. THIS EXAM IS CONDUCT BY NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY.

    MATHS IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THIS TEST.

    ELIGIBILITY OF CLAT:

    1)YOU GRADUATE IN LLB AND LLM
    2)COMPLETE 10TH AND 12TH WITH 50% AND DEGREE ALSO

    I m having maths as an additional subject i.e. The sixth subject.. If i get failed in that but score more than 60% in compulsory subjects ... Will i be eligible for CLAT?
