Re: Is maths compulsory for CA and CLAT? Can I take separate coaching for Maths without maths in 12th?

No it not at all compulsory for a student to had studied Maths in higher secondary for pursuing CA or CLAT.
CLAT(Common law admission test) is an entrance exam conducted at all India Level by 11 national law universities for giving admissions to the students in undergraduate
and post graduate degree programmes(LL.B and LL.M).The various universities that offer this course includes-
    NLSIU Banglore
    NALSAR Hyderabad,
    NLIU Bhopal, etc.
No university can deny you admission on this basis that you have not selected maths as one of the subjects in your 11th standard and have not studied maths in higher secondary.
As far as this entrance exam is concerned, maths is one of the subject which is asked in the exam. So, if you want to qualify this examination then you must study
maths at least till some basic formulas are concerned.

Chartered accountancy is a course that can not only provide you with a satisfactory remuneration but also a very good reputation in an organisation. And as far as
CA is concerned, a candidate must have knowledge of basic mathematical formulas. But even if you have not studied maths in higher secondary, then also you would be
fully comfortable with this course if you have properly studied maths till 10th standard. One of the subjects which is required to be studied to qualify CA entrance exam that is CPT
(Common proficiency test) s quantitative aptitude. So, it clearly signifies that at least basic knowledge of mathematics is required to clear CA entrance exam.

And at the intermediate level also, subjects such as cost accounting, financial management, accountancy, etc are also required to be studied and it also requires to have good knowledge of
    basic mathematics.
And in my opinion, if you want to face CLAT or CA, then you must take coaching classes for that. They would give a guidance about what kind of questions are asked in these type
of exams and how to solve such questions in a limited time frame. So, you must start preparing for these exams as soon as possible as it requires a lot of practice
as well as hard work to clear such exams.
