in fact biotechnology needs a lot of biological part than mathematical part and always it would be better for a biological student to go for biotechnology . you cant get into biotechnology field by engineering entrance exam however you can get through other national exams with biotechnology as an other option

No, Mathematics is not a mandatory subject for pursuing B.Sc Biotechnology. In most of the educational Institutions, the eligibility criteria for B.Sc BioTechnology is a pass in higher secondary examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry from any State Board, CBSE or equivalent. But in some of the prestigious colleges like Amritha School of Bio-Technology the eligibility criteria will be 60%. So you are eligible to apply for B.Sc Bio-Technology course.

No,not necessarily.Even if you have had biology in 10+2,you are eligible.Biology,Physics and Chemistry combination also can help you seek admission but your aggregate should be minimum 50% in PCB combination.

No, mathematics is not really necessary in 12th standard to pursue Bsc. biotechnology in future. yes you are eligible to take Bsc. biotechnology with PCB. For this you can give state entrance examinations of various universities such as of UPTU(uttar pradesh technical university) etc.

mathematics is not compulsory and hence not a barrier for you to pursue your BSc degree. Even if it is a compulsion or it is required in the future you can always consult a mathematics teacher who can help you with the basic and necessary concepts. You can apply to any instituition
