    THERE NO SPECIFIC SUBJECT IS REQUIRE FOR DOING C.A SO MATHS IS NOT A CUSTOMARY SUBJECT
    YOU HAVE TO 12TH PASS WITH ANY STREAM AND YOU APPLY
    THERE IS A EXAM CPT IS CONDUCTED TWO TIMES IN A YEAR FOR ENTRANCE IN CA AFTER THAT THERE IS A
    EXAM OF IPCC WHEN YOU CLEAR IT HTAN YOU HAVE TO APPEAR FOR ARTICLE SHIP OF 3 YEAR AFTER THAT C.A FIANL EXAM WHEN YOU CLEAR IT THAN C.A DEGREE WILL AWARDED TO YOU

    i have 6 subjects in 12th i got 54% and in 5 subjects i got 47% can i apply for cpt? and is maths compulsory in cpt or ipcc?

    No, maths is not a compulsory subject. However, you should have basics knowledge of maths. If you would have studied maths at your 10th level than it will be easier for you to crack the papers.

    In COMMON PROFICIENCY TEST CPT there is 1 paper consisting of question from 4 different section like :
    • Fundamentals of Accounting
    • Mercantile Laws
    • General Economics
    • Quantitative Aptitude

    In the last section that is Quantitative Aptitude there are questions from maths. This section comprises of question from topics like :

    1. Ratio and proportion, Indices, Logarithms
    2. Equations
    >>Linear simultaneous linear equations up to three variables, quadratic and cubic equations in one
    variable, equations of a straight line, intersection of straight lines, graphical solution to linear equations.
    3. Inequalities
    >>Graphs of inequalities in two variables ─ common region.
    4. Simple and Compound Interest including annuity ─ Applications
    5. Basic concepts of Permutations and Combinations
    6. Sequence and Series Arithmetic and geometric progressions
    7. Sets, Functions and Relations
    8. Limits and Continuity ─ Intuitive Approach
    9. Basic concepts of Differential and Integral Calculus (excluding trigonometric functions)
    10. Statistical description of data
    >>(a) Textual, Tabular & Diagrammatic representation of data.
    >>(b) Frequency Distribution.
    >>(c) Graphical representation of frequency distribution Histogram, Frequency Polygon, Ogive
    11. Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion
    Arithmetic Mean, Median Partition Values, Mode, Geometric Mean and Harmonic, Mean, Standard
    deviation, Quartile deviation
    12. Correlation and Regression
    13. Probability and Expected Value by Mathematical Expectation
    14. Theoretical Distributions
    >>Binomial, Poisson and Normal.
    15. Sampling Theory
    >>Basic Principles of sampling theory , Comparison between sample survey and complete enumeration ,Errors in sample survey , Some important terms associated with sampling , Types of sampling , Theory of estimation , Determination of sample size .
    16. Index Numbers

    CA course not a compulsory subject . You should have a basic Knowledge of Maths.

    CA was 3 streams like ::
    *******************
    -->> FOUNDATION COURSE

    -->> INTERMEDIATE COURSE

    -->> FINAL COURSE.

    hello
    i am a student of 11th without maths (because i am nt good in maths). i aim to become a CA
    can i do it without MATHS ??? am i sure to clear CPT which includes maths, by doing a crashcourse later on??
    or is it very very important to opt for maths??

    No , Mathematics is not necessary for CA or Chartered Accountant .

    Any stream students after 12th can appearing CA Course.

    CA course is also opt by the Graduate candidates .

    CA consists three level exa,

    * CPT
    *IPCC
    *Final / Artificalship Training.

    Candidates must first register in CPT ,this is entry level test of CA.

    After qualifying CPT one can opt register in IPCC:
    Integrated Professional competence or IPCC course is also directly register by graduate candidates ,if graduate candidates nave following makes:

    For commerce graduate 55% must
    For Non Commerce 60% is must .
    To direct register for IPCC .

    They need not to appearing CPT.

    After IPCC lPCC last state is Final course along with Artificalship Traning.
