Hi,

This year I appeared for 10th exam and waiting for result. I want to go for MBBS and further MS. Is it benifitial in future if I take Maths as well along with PCB? Would maths help in solving physics sums or in NEET?

I really wanted to understand advantages\disadvantages of maths in medical career.

There is very less use of Mathmatics in the field of medical. You can decide yourself that in which field math is most important and in which sector this subject has lot of demand.
Maths is useful to solve the physics problems which are based on the maths calculation. But in the medical there is no much use of math.

Dear friend, regarding the choice of maths i would like to suggest you that you should prefer maths also in your 11 and 12 class if possible. Advantages are as follows :-
1. Makes your calculations easy to do and understand especially in physical chemistry and physics
2. Integration and differentiation portion of maths is useful in various calculations of physics and cjemistry
3. You can also appear in engineering entrance if at later stages find biology hard or boring

Disadvantage is that you need some extra time to cope up with maths learning.

mathematics,in a broad sense is helpful every where. but strictly speaking not in medical career.still there you have to make small mathematical calculations. it helps in solving physics and in neet.

Yes ,maths has important role in medical career.

first of all you have to clear the entrance exam i.e AIIMS , AFMC etc and for that you have to study PCM and biology in 12th class

in particular you get no benefit from Maths.in medical.....but yes opting for maths in 11 nd 12 provides you greater scope of career as maths is needed for various other courses........................but if you are passionate for MBBS nd is smwhere sure that you will go with it then i would recommend you not to take maths

no need to take maths if you want to do MBBS it is an extra burden for you as Bi.P.C student you will face less complicated problems in physics so dont worry about problems in physics
