    Yes, you are eligible even if you got married!! There's no restriction for married aspirants in civil service exams. But, please check your age limits and then go ahead for civil exams.

    Civil services are the greatest exam in India which recruits the aspirants into IAS,IFS,IRS and IPC etc.

    Eligibility criteria::

    You must be a citizen of India.

    Age limits:
    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
    You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)


    Number of attempts::
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    - Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

    Fee:- Rs. 100/-
    (No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled)

    You can't choose the following combination of subjects:

    (a) Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration;
    (b) Commerce & Accountancy and Management;
    (c) Anthropology and Sociology;
    (d) Mathematics and Statistics;
    (e) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
    (f) Management and Public Administration;
    (g) Of the Engineering subjects, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering–not more than one subject.
    (h) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science.


    You can choose the optional subjects from the below. choose according to your interest - because, you have to go a long way in order to get succeed in civil services!!!!

    Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services :

    You must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

    Your age must be in between 21-30 years.

    Age relaxation :-

    General : No relaxation
    BC : up to 33 years
    SC / ST : no limit and up to 35 years

    You must be Indian Nationality.

    And you must be Physically Fit for applying for the Civil Services.

    Number of Attempts :

    For general category applicants 4 attempts only.
    OBC candidate is allowed 7 attempts.
    And for SC & ST there is no limit subject age limit .

    Application Procedure for Civil Services :

    If you satisfy the Eligibility Criteria, then you can apply for the Civil Services.

    All the Civil Service Examinations are conducted by UPSC(Union Public Staff Commission).

    Examination Details : The Exam contains,

    Preliminary Examination :
    It is held in May/June
    It is of objective type, which is a qualifying examination for the selection of candidates for Main Examination

    Main Examination :
    It is held in October/November .
    It consists of written examination and interview for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.

    Yes , a married person is also eligible for Civil Sevices exams.

    Eligibility criteria to appear in civil services exams are -

    * you must be an Indian.
    * your age must lie between 21-30 years.
    * you must have passed your graduation.
    * you must be physically fit.

    # YOU MUST HOLD A CITIZENSHIP TO INDIA.

    Union Public Service Commission (U.P.S.C) conducts the Civil Services Examination (C.S.E) every year .

    The exam is common for recruitment to various services like ::

    The Indian Administrative Service,

    Indian Foreign Service,

    Indian Police Service,

    Group A and

    Group B Central Services


    Eligibility Requirements ::

    Nationality::

    To apply for the exam you must be a citizen of India .

    Age ::

    For 2012 Exam you must be 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2012

    For OBC candidates 21 - 33 Years

    For SC/ST candidates 21 - 35 Years
    .


    Qualification::

    Must have a degree form any Indian University or other educational institution which is recognized from Government Of India .

    You can even apply if you are in your final year of degree
    .


    Number Of Attempts ::

    You can attempt 4 times for general candidates .
