Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum

The Mar Ivanios College is located at Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. The institution is to be found on the top of a small hill covering an extensive campus area of one hundreds of acres in Bethany Hills, Nalanchira. The College is an establishment affiliated to the Kerala University since 1949. As the First College to be recognized by the NAAC, Mar Ivanios College has now been honored the position of the College with Excellent Potential by the UGC. The college offers Degree courses in English Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Commerce and Postgraduate Courses in English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce and Zoology. The Departments of Physics, Chemistry and Zoology are recognized centers of research.

There are around 120 teachers and lectures along with 75 members of the non-teaching staff in the college where about 3,100 students study. The extra curricular and co-curricular activities of the college are coordinated by the Committees for Arts and various other clubs. A unique feature of this Institution is the AMICOS (Association of Mar Ivanios College Old Students) which has chapters in every different country. The Mar Ivanios Centre for Information Technology and the Mar Ivanios Computer Centre are noteworthy among the support facilities available in the college. Admission procedure in Mar Ivanios College
The admissions to the BA/B.Sc/B.Com courses require a good score of at least 60% marks in the XII standard examination. A good aggregate score in the qualifying graduate examination is required for the admittance into the M.A/M.Sc/M.Com courses. After the final interview, the students who clear themselves are eligible for admission into the college. They are required to bring with them the necessary certificates and the relevant information regarding at the time of admission.
