    Maharashtra SSET - DM MCh

    Government of Maharashtra conducts speciality entrance examination for taking candidates in to DM/MCh courses which are offered by Medical Colleges or Institutions in the state of Maharashtra. Candidates should qualify in entrance examination to get admission for DM/MCh courses.

    Structure and Pattern of Maharashtra SSET - DM MCh

    Candidates need to answer objective type questions with given options. Candidates have the chance to score a maximum mark of 100 in this entrance examination. The time frame allowed for this entrance examination is 2 hours 30 minutes. 1 mark is given for correct answers. The entrance examination contains 2 sections. Section – A involves questions for a total mark of 50. Section – B also includes 50 marks questions from MD/MS course area.

    • Psychiatry
    • Radiology / Radiotherapy
    • Skin-VD & / Leprosy
    • Surgery
    • TB-Chest
    Section – B – (50 marks) - Questions relating to subject areas covered in MD/MS course.

    Eligibility criteria of Maharashtra SSET - DM MCh

    Post graduate degree with 55% marks is essential to apply for this entrance examination. Candidates with a post graduate degree (Medicine) can apply for DM course. On the other hand, a post graduate degree in surgery is essential for MCh course. Candidates who are applying should hold a registration certificate from either Maharashtra Medical council (MMC)/ MCI registration. Candidates who are doing final year of MD/MS course can also apply for this exam.
