    Maharashtra PGM PGD CET

    The Maharashtra PGM PGD Common Entrance test is the examination organized in Maharashtra for the admission of students to the post graduate medical and dental courses. The students qualifying in the Maharashtra PGM PGD CET with a good score will get admission in the concerned colleges or institutions in the state. This common entrance examination is organized by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Government of Maharashtra. The eligible students can pursue different post graduate medical courses such as MD, MS/ Diploma and MDS. The examination is conducted in various test centers across the state.

    Structure and Pattern of Maharashtra PGM PGD CET

    The Maharashtra PGM PGD CET is a written examination organized in the state every year normally in the months of January or February. Students from all over the country can appear for this examination. Like other entrance examinations, Maharashtra PGM PGD CET is also an objective type test which comprises of 100 questions, each provided with four or five choices. The time allotted for answering all these questions is 150 minutes, i.e. two and half hours.

    Aspirants have to select the correct answer for each question and mark them in the provided answer sheet. Each correct answer will get one mark. The question paper will be different for medicine and dental courses. The syllabus for this examination is taken from the concerned academic subjects of the previous qualifying examination as prescribed by DCI.

    Qualification Criteria for Maharashtra PGM PGD CET

    Aspirants should meet certain qualification and eligibility conditions as per the norms of directorate of examinations. The applicants must be Indian nationals. To apply for the postgraduate medical courses, students must have pursued a pass in MBBS from a reputed university in Maharashtra. To be eligible for the postgraduate dental courses, applicants must possess qualification of BDS from a recognized university. Those who complete their under graduation from a deemed university are not eligible to attend this examination.

    Application Procedure of Maharashtra PGM PGD CET

    Candidates need to submit application form so as to appear for it. The application form together with information brochure can be obtained by paying the prescribed fee from the office of controller of examination or from any government medical colleges in the state. The application fee is Rs.1800/- and it is to be paid either by bank draft or pay order. The filled up application form with relevant documents should be submitted by hand to the official address. The application form send through post or courier will be rejected without any further information.
