MAH-HM-CET

Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra conducts the MAH-HM-CET for the selection of aspirants who are eligible to pursue the four-year degree course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Those who pass the written test with the required score can expect admissions for the course in Hotel Management institutes within Maharashtra. It is a state level entrance test, which is carried out in many locations in Maharashtra.

Structure and Pattern of the MAH-HM-CET

It is an objective type test that comprises of questions on arithmetic’s, service sector and scientific aptitude. In the test, there will also be questions on reasoning and logical assumption, common awareness and current affairs. An English language and comprehension test will also be included in the MAH-HM-CET. There will be 100 questions in the test, which should be answered within 2 hours time. The mode of instruction for the MAH-HM-CET will be bilingual, in English and Hindi except for the English language test.

Qualification Criteria for MAH-HM-CET

The eligibility requirement to apply for the MAH-HM-CET is a pass in the XII examination or its equivalent in any streams with a total of 50% marks. There is 5% relaxation in aggregate marks for reserved category aspirants. Those who are appearing for the concluding year exam of the 10+2 course are also qualified to apply for the test. Only Indian Nationals can apply for the HM CET exam.

Application Procedure for MAH-HM-CET

Applicants can submit the online forms by logging on to the official website of Directorate of Technical Education: - www.dte.org.in/hmct and following the set of instructions therein. The payment of examination fee should be made via DD or Pay Order drawn in favor of the DTE, Maharashtra. Applicants are supposed to send the significant documents revealed in the prospectus and demand draft of the required amount to the DTE office along with the printed copy of submitted forms prior to the last date.
