There are two types of courses, Msc in Home science and MA in home science. But in most of the universities, eligibility criteria for those courses are BA and Bsc in home science respectively. I havent seen them taking in other graduates to the Msc program. In one of the program from Nirmala Niketan in Mumbai, they have taken students having done Bsc in biochemistry/microbiology/life science for Msc program in home science. But I have not seen any program where Bsc hotel science students are taken in for Msc Home science. Now I think you should go in for Master in hotel management and then if you are interested, could also pursue diploma programs in food science or fashion technology or so.

Home science is an interesting course; it combines science and art subjects as related to modern housekeeping. It is a field of knowledge which draws upon many disciplines such as chemistry, physics, physiology, biology, hygiene, economics, sociology and family relations, community living, art, food, nutrition, clothing, textiles and home management. As you have completed your Bsc in Hotel Management and if you don’t wish to continue with Msc in same subject it will be a good option to go for Msc in Home science. The eligibility criteria for doing Msc Home science is just any Bsc degree, so you have no problem in continuing with your choice. There are separate courses in various branches of Home science which include food, nutrition and dietetics etc which you can choose according to your interest.

I think its not a good idea for you to go with home science after completion of B Sc in hotel management ,, lots of reason behind this these are as following-----

1) if you go with home science then you will have to study more and from initially the stage

2) you career path will change so many difficulties you will phase and may be demotion will be there.

3) no growth direction will be there and lots of confusion
