Hey MCA is a masters degree in computer application.
Whereas BE is a bachelors degree in engineering.
Both degrees have their own significance.
MCA cannot be a considered as BE computer science.
However it is sometimes considered equivalent in value
to BE as MCA holders also acheive the competancy which
    BE computer engineers have.

Re: Is M.C.A considered as B.E?

Both M.C.A and B.E are professional degrees but MCA is not considered as B.E. The following points will justify that.

    1. MCA is a Master's degree whereas B.E is a Bachelor's degree
    2. MCA focusses on the general computer application, databases ,softwares etc whereas the B.E(computer) deals with the development of softwares, databases etc
    3. Programming part is very less in MCA whereas programming is more in B.E.
4.B.E is more advanced than MCA in Technical point of view.
5.MCA degree holders are not Engineers

No, not at all. It is almost different from engineering in content as well as application.
MCA is a post graduate degree & BE is bachelor only. MCA deals with computer application while deals with variours branch of engineering like computer science , electrical engg , mechanical & chemical etc.

No dear MCA and BE are two totally different fields of study.MCA stands for(Master of Computer Applications)and it is done after graduation in any field generally BCA(Bachelor of Computer Applications) whereas BE stands for Bachelor of engineering which is done after 12th level after taking science stream and scoring atleast 60% marks in aggregate. It is preferred that if you do B.E./B.Tech(these are considered equivalent) then you should masters as M.Tech or MBA but there is no boundation and you can do MCA also after B.Tech but it is purely related to computer field. You are required to have some previous knowledge of computers and maths for doing MCA.If you have interest in computers then you can do BCA which requires you to have atleasst 60% in 12th with science or commerce.

MCA is maters in computer application which is a masters degree that could be done after BBA or BCA.

BE is bachelors of engineering that can be done after the 10+2 in science stream with PCM combinations.

    friend,

MCA is not equivalent to a B.E/B.tech because MCA is post graduation degree and B.E/B.TECH is
a graduation which are very much different in qualification and nature.MCA is a maser's degree while
a B.E/B.TECH is a bachelor's degree so both have different qualification and you should M.E/M.TECH to be equivalent to MCA.

Re: Is M.C.A considered as B.E?

    Hi friend,

It depends from company to company for considering M.C.A equivalent to B.E ,But in general M.C.A is not considered as B.E.
Because the knowledge of M.C.A student is more than the B.E student . Syllabus for B.E courses is less detailed than M.C.A student .
Some companies only allow B.E student's for appearing in recruitment. But M.C.A is master's degree and have more value .

    Good Luck..!!
