If I talk about the topmost colleges for Btech then IITs are the obvious choice. Recently numerous IITs are offering this course in Biotechnology including IIT kanpur, madras, and kharagpur being the most important ones. Fees of these institutes fall between 20000 to 25000 for general category. Also look for this course in the new IITs i.e. IIT patna and mandi etc. I think they offer this course. Next of course are the NITs - Good ones are NIT rourkela, allahabad, bhopal and durgapur. Also there are a few private institutes which rank high for offering good education in this field like VIT ans Amity. These provide good education and brilliant palcement opportunities but the fees would range somewhere between 1-1.5 lakhs per year.

B.Tech Biotechnology is a upcoming branch in India.It has got very bright future.I must tell you that as this branch is new so there are complications which comes just after completing your B.Tech Biotechnology because in this field doing BE/B.Tech is not sufficient, if you want to get good position or a good salary you need to have minimum M.tech Biotechnology degree.Main reason behind this is now a days compnies needs Bsc and Msc people compare to B.tech people .But if you have a M.Tech degree in your hands you will definatelly get a good position and handsome salary also.

There are many Goverment and Private Institutions which offers this degree now a days.For government colleges you need to clear AIEEE and IIT exam and for these colleges fees is offcourse not a problem .But in case you didnot get any goverment seat then comes the option for Private colleges.There are many Private Institutions /Universities which offers this degree.
Elligibility criteria : Elligibility depends upon Institutions to Institutions because some insitutions requires Physics, Chemistry and Mathamatics and some requires Physics, chemistry and Biology.In10+2 you should have minimum 60%.

M.tech is stands for master of technology . it is an post graduation course . the duration of the course is for 3 years and the course is divided into 6 semester with practical training . there is good job prospectus for M.tech course .

if you interested in M.tech course then you should qualified for bachelor in science stream or b.tech course with 60% percentage of marks from recognized university .

if your belong from sc/st and other backward candidate the relaxation given for 55% percentage of marks .

if you satisfy the eligibility criteria then you eligible to apply for the m.tech course
