    Let me know the details about NET for my domain(MBA-HR). How to apply for it?

    I am an MBA(HR) student.I want to know about Net examination for my domain and how to apply for that?

    UGC stands for UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION and this institute conducts the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST for the recruitment of candidates for the LECTURESHIP and Junior research Fellowship.


    1)You must have completed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university recognized by UGC.

    2)If you are in the final year of the Master's Degree then also you are eligible for the exam.

    3)IF you have done P.HD then also you are eligible.

    4)You must have secured the minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree and A 5% relaxation in marks in given to the Reserved category candidates.


    5.1 For Junior Research Fellowship: You should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates and to women applicants.

    5.2 Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

    The test consists of three papers and papers will be held on 24th December 2011 (SATURDAY)
    the test is conducted in two sessions.

    First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
    First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)
    Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.)

    PAPER-I is to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate

    PAPER-II: Multiple choice type questions.

    Paper-III will consist of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the candidate.


    • General Candidates: Rs.450/-
    • Other Backward Classes : Rs.225/-
    • SC/ST/PH/VH candidates: Rs.110/-

    various subjects available to choose on NET exam.
    NET is conducted by UGC every year.
    eligibility for NET exam is master degree ,final year student can also apply.

    About National Eligibility Test:

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test and this examination is conducted by UGC, Twice in a year for the post of Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship Post. If your aim is to do P.Hd in future, OR wants to become Lecturer in some good colleges, then you have to apply for NET Examination. If you cracked this examination, then you will get good salary package as compared to other candidates.

    The Examination is conducted in June and December Every year and for this year June NET Examination Notification was already Published and the Online Registrations was also started.

    The last date of filling online application form of NET is 30/April/2012

    Examination is going to be held on 26/June/2012.

    Educational Qualification:

    ~~ You have to complete your Post graduate degree course with minimum 55% Marks from a recognised University.

    ~~ Final year appearing candidates are also apply for NET Examination.

    ~~ You must have attained the age of 19 years to apply for NET.

    ~~ There is no upper age restrictions to apply for Lectureship post, But for Junior Research Fellowship Post, your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    The examination fees of NET Is Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through challan form in SBI Bank.

    The challan form is availiable in the official website, You can easily download from the official website.

    You have to select the subject in NET on the basis of your Post graduation, The syllabus and previous year Papers of NET is availiable in the official website. You can easily download the papers and keep practice for the examination.

    There are 3 papers in NET Examination and all are conducted in same day in 2 session, all the papers of NET is Objective and There is No negative marking in the examination.
