    Karnataka CET

    Karnataka CET is conducted by the KEA every year. This is for the admission of students in various courses like engineering, medicine and architectural courses. The Karnataka CET qualification of candidates is required by almost all colleges across Karnataka for their admission. Students from various states also take part in this exam for their admission in Karnataka colleges.

    Structure and Pattern of Karnataka CET

    The examination is conducted for two days and it consists of four sessions. For the first day the test will be on Physics and Chemistry and the second day for test on Mathematics and Biology. The duration for each test is 1 hour 20 minutes. The candidates have to attend 60 objective type questions for each test. They should pick the right answer from multiple choices for each question. One mark will be given for each right answer. The syllabus for this exam will be the same as that of the subjects in 11th and 12th class.

    Qualification Criteria for Karnataka CET

    For appearing in this exam, the students must possess some qualification according to the criterion. Only those who have cleared their 12th standard or equivalent are allowed to apply for this exam. The candidates wishing to join the engineering course should also have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For medical courses, the candidate must have studied Biology in addition to Physics and Chemistry. For architecture courses, the candidates should have secured a pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject

    Application Procedure of Karnataka CET

    The application form for this examination can be bought from schools or colleges within the state. They must submit an amount of Rs. 650/- as DD in favour of the director, KEA. For SC/ST candidates it will be Rs. 500/-. The candidates outside the state can also apply, if they possess the eligibility criterion as said above. For these students the application form along with brochure can be procured through speed post. They must send a DD of Rs.750/- along with a self addressed envelope.
