Computer programming is an art of applying one or more interconnected non-figurative algorithms using a particular programming language to produce a concrete computer program. A programming language has different elements of art, science, mathematics, and engineering.
The first step you need to master is the basics of mathematics mostly Algebra. This is the base for every programming language. It is also important to know at least the very basics of how computers work, because for learning any language it is required to know how the computer and its associated parts work.

Programming is not easy unless you put in a lot of hard work. You also need to have an interest in it. Do feel low because you arenít able to catch up. There are many C courses offered at institutes. You could join one of them and take their courses. You could do these courses in the evening after classes or on weekends. If you think you will be able to study on your own, get some books on C. There are a lot of books available in the market. "Let Us C" by Yashawant Kanetkar, "Programming in ANSI C" by E. Balaguruswamy are some good books for beginners. Most importantly, practice what you learn. There is no point in learning a program by heart. You will have to understand what each line in a program means. There may be classmates who are good at C. Get their help too.

Dont worry . I was also never too comfortable with Programming like C and Datastructures and even DBMS. My strategy was just to manage pass marks . I was not looking to thoroughly study these subjects because i knew that i wont be going for a job in software field. But this worked for me.
I think you shold first of all try to initiate that intrest in you to learn programming. Refer Let us C by Kanitkar . It's a bible on C. You can also try for a good tutor . His personal coaching will help you to eliminate your doubts and will surely help.

    well, programming is never easy
as you said that you were a biology student then it is some difficult.
but don't worry in the beginning every one fears with C programming but a continuous work and practice will make it easy for you.
First you should understand all the basics of C.
Books on C programming is also useful .

DON'T WORRY ABOUT PROGRAMMING IN COMPUTER LANGUAGE LIKE C. IT IS REALLY TOUGH TO DO. FIRST UP ALL YOU SHOULD MAKE INTEREST IN PROGRAMMING LIKE C. YOU CLEAR ALL THE RELATED CONCEPT FROM LET US C BY KANETKAR AND LATER TRY TO SOLVE PROGRAMS FROM TEST YOUR C SKILL BY SAME AUTHOR. YOU CAB PRACTICE IT FROM INTERNET ALSO. AFTER SOME DAYS YOU WILL FIND YOUR VIEW ABOUT PROGRAMS. YOU CAN JOIN CLASSES ALSO IN C LANGUAGE.
