    they are plenty of oppurtunities for mechanical engineers in government sector but many companies like BHEL,ONGC,HPCL,IOCL, recruits based on the GATE SCORE.

    they are some other companies recruits mechanical engineers are as follows:

    >DRDO
    >ISRO
    >HAL
    >NAL
    >BDL
    >VIZAG STEEL
    >SAIL
    >APSRTC
    >KSRTC
    >APGENCO
    >SSC..........

    mechanical engineers can also eligible for applying civil services exams like IPS,IES ,IAS exams conducted by UPSE.

    On base of diploma in Mechanical Engineering you may be eligible for applying to the various posts in Railways / Govt. organizations.

    MTNL


    Apart from these there are public sector undertaking companies in which you will able to get jobs but for this at first you will have to give GATE exam.

    As you are a Mechanical Engineer there are many public sector jobs available for you.
    But to get recruited into public sector companies entrance exams are conducted and cracking of these exam is compulsory.

    Graduates from Mechanical stream are always appointed for Manufacturing and Production section
    Due to their skills in mechanics, kinematics, materials science, thermodynamics, structural analysis, and electricity they are appointed for major projects such as:

    Design and analyze manufacturing plants
    Industrial equipment and machinery
    Heating and cooling systems
    Transport systems aircraft
    Watercraft
    Robotics,
    Medical devices.

    There are many recruitment offers that you can get from news paper.
    And can try for them if satisfy their requirement.


    Eligibility Criteria:

    *Graduation from a recognised university is a must.
    *Minimum percentage required is between 55 to 60%.
    *There should be no pending backlog, this may create bad impression on the interviewers.
    *There should be no gap of years between the graduation period which shows your irresponsibilities
    *A better communication skill is also expected.
    *you should also know your branch subject perfectly.

    Exam pattern :

    Exam is conducted to check the candidate's caliber on the basis of the following subjects:

    Good Reasoning
    Technical implementation
