    JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam

    JIPMER, Puducherry carries out the MBBS entrance examination for the selection of aspirants who are eligible to pursue the medical programs within the institute. Those who pass the written test can expect MBBS admissions in JIPMER. The test is carried out in 12 centers within India. Aspirants can appear for the test in their nearest test center.

    Structure and Pattern of the JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam

    It is an objective type test, which consists of questions on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. There will be 200 multiple-choice type questions in the test. Aspirants have to pick the right answer among the 4 given options. There will not be any minus marking in the JIPMER MBBS exam. English will be the only mode of instruction for the test.

    Qualification Criteria for the JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam

    The pre-requisite criterion to apply for the test is a pass in the senior secondary (10+2) examination. Applicants are required to have done the course taking Science group with Biology as a subject. They must have completed the course from a recognized institute. In addition, they are required to have scored 50% or above in the eligibility exam. The minimum percentage required is 45% for UR-OPH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC aspirants.

    Application Procedure for the JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam

    Applicants can procure forms either from the JIPMER campus or from the selected SBI branches in person or by post. They can also apply for the exam through the online procedures by logging on to the official website of JIPMER and following the instructions therein. Candidates who have applied online have to send the printed copy of the submitted forms along with required enclosures. Applicants have to remit the examination fees through a DD of the required amount drawn in favor of Accounts Officer, JIPMER payable at Puducherry.
