    JELET West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEE)

    West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board conducts the JELET exam for the selection of qualified aspirants to pursue the Technology, Pharmacy or Engineering programs within the colleges in West Bengal through lateral entry scheme. Diploma holders who clear the test can seek for admissions in the 3rd semester of graduation. The test is carried out in the month of May in many centers within West Bengal. Aspirants can appear for the test in their adjacent test center.

    Structure and Pattern of the JELET WBJEE

    The pattern of the JELET WBJEE will be of objective type. It consists of questions on the technical subjects of the qualifying exam. There will be 100 questions in the test. Each and every question in the test carries one mark. Erroneous answers will be given minus marks. The test will last for a time phase of 150 minutes. The mode of instruction for the JELET WBJEE will be English.

    Qualification Criteria for the JELET WBJEE

    The pre-requisite condition to apply for the JELET test is a pass in the diploma course in Engineering or Technology for the engineering programs. Those who wish to pursue the B.Pharm course should have conceded the D.Pharm program. The percentage required in the eligibility exam is 60% marks. In addition, they should have studied the course from an AICTE approved institute. Those who have completed the B.Sc. Mathematics course from an UGC approved institute can also apply for the test. But they should have scored 60% marks.

    Application Procedure for the JELET WBJEE

    Applicants can procure forms from the selected Axis bank branches by remitting the form fee. They can also obtain the same from the official address of Board by post. For getting the same, they have to send a requisition letter along with the DD of the required form fee. Appropriately filled in forms should be send to the Board address by speed post only. Applicants should attach pre-requisite exam certificate copies and other relevant credentials mentioned in the prospectus along with the forms.
