    I've completed graduation(Economics) in 2003. Can I take admission in Law? What is the maximum age limit to write CLAT?

    I HAVE PASSED GRADUATION IN 2003 IN ECONOMICS. I TAKE ADMISSION IN LAW. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM AGE IN CLAT

    -the last date for applying for the CLAT 2012 is 16th May 2012
    -The admit cards will be dispatched from 12th June 2012
    -The examination is going to be held on 28th June 2012
    -the results of the same will be held on 18th July 2012

    YES you can go for applying Law entrance exam with your 10+2 criteria for L.L.B course, but it is not possible for you to apply through your Graduation as you must have studied Law course at your Graduation.

    CLAT ( Common Law Admission Test ) is a common Law test conducted by 14 Law Universities every year for both U.G & P.G courses in Law ( L.L.B & L.L.M ), you can apply for the CLAT exam in any of the 14 universities region you belong and the Universities that comes under CLAT are :

    1. National Law School of India University - Bangalore
    2. NALSAR University of Law - Hyderabad
    3. National Law Institute University - Bhopal
    4. The West Bengal National University of Judicial Sciences - Kolkata
    5. National Law University - Jodhpur
    6. Hidayathullah National Law University - Raipur
    7. Gujarat National Law University - Gandhinagar
    8. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law - Patiala
    9. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University - Lucknow
    10. Chanakya National Law University - Patna
    11. National Law University - Orissa
    12. National University of Advanced Legal Studies - Kochi
    13. National University of Study and Research in Law - Ranchi
    14. National Law University - Assam

    In order to appear to CLAT exam you must possess the following qualifications

    Education : for L.L.B

    - you must have completed your 10+2 with minimum of 50% marks from any recognized board ( 45% in case of SC, ST, OBC, PH candidates )

    for L.L.M :

    - you must have obtained L.L.B Degree or any equivalent Degree with not less than 55% marks ( 50% marks in case of SC, ST, OBC, PH candidates ).

    Age : for L.L.B - you must not be more than 20 years in case of General / OBC candidates ( 22 years in case of SC, ST, PH candidates ) as on 1st July of the examining year.

    Pattern of CLAT exam for LLB : for 200 marks 200 Objective questions and duration of the exam is 2 hrs.

    - English including Comprehension - 40 marks
    - General Studies and Current affairs - 50 marks
    - Elementary Mathematics - 20 marks
    - Legal Aptitude - 50 marks
    - Logical and Reasoning - 40 marks


    for LLM : for 200 marks duration is 2 hrs.

    - Objective type questions ( 100 questions each 1 mark ) : Law of contracts, Law of Trots, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Theory etc.

    - Short answer questions ( 100 marks )
