For appearing in the exam for train driver, you must have completed 10th standard from a recognized school. Doing course in the mechanical field will be useful. Your age must be between 18 and 30 years. You will then need to appear for the concerned exam conducted by RRB. The exam notification will be published on either the official website of Indian railways or the leading dailies. The candidates must go through the notification before applying for the exam. The selected candidates will be first appointed as the diesel driver or electric locomotive assistant. These aspirants will be promoted to the train driver post after getting enough experience in the respective field.
