NDA exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting the eligible candidates in to different wings in the defense sector. Only unmarried male candidates can appear in the NDA exam. You should be between 16.5-19 years to appear in this examination. The minimum qualification required for attending this exam is a 12th class or equivalent qualification. It is necessary to opt for Physics and Mathematics as subjects in the 12th class level to apply for positions in Indian Navy and Indian Air force. The selection procedure will comprise of a written examination, Physical test and personal Interview. Certain physical standards will be specified which you need to fulfill to attend this exam. If you get through the written exam, you will be called for a personal interview.

N.D.A. stands for national defense academy.This exam is conducted by U.P.S.C. twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A :
you should be citizen of India
you should be unmarried male candidate
you should be qualified in 12th in science stream with good percentage of marks form recognized board .(for air force/ navy wing)
you must be +2 pass from any stream (for army)
Your age should be 16 1/2 to 19 years
you should be physically as well as mentally fit for the examination { ie : chest , height , weight , eyesight , etc .. } and also you should not affect by any diseases like { skin , inter organs } . if you having any diseases , then you should be disqualified for the N.D.A. training .

these are the two stages of selection procedure.

National Defense Academy is a Indian Defense wing giving training to the young and courageous men to join in Indian Defense Services after the completion of training. It generally maintains 3 wings of Indian Defense Services mainly

1. Indian Army Academy - Dheradun

So the young and Unmarried Men, are only eligible for applying NDA entrance examination conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Educational qualification:

Indian Army Academy - you must have completed your 10+2 study with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized board.

Indian Naval Academy, Indian Air Force Academy - you must have completed your 10+2 study with Physics, Mathematics as your main subjects and minimum percentage of marks from any recognized board.

Age Criteria:

you must have minimum 16 1/2 years and minimum 19 years of age, there is no age relaxation for any category.

NDA training period comprises of 4 years which includes 3 years of Degree classes and 1 years ground training at the respective grounds chosen at the time of admission. So at the end of training you will be having degree certificate and also job in the Indian Defense Service.

For all this you have to qualify in the UPSC, NDA written exam which will be conducted twice in a year and you can appear for any of the attempt. After getting qualified in the written exam you have Physical fitness and Medical examination then having a personal interview and then taken in.

NDA Stands for National Defense Academy

Selection Procedure: National Defence Academy selects the candidates in three phases :

i)A written examination by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

ii)An interview by the Service Selection Board(SSC) to check the potentialities Intelligence and personality.

iii)A medical examination by a Service Medical Board(SMB).

Union Public Service Commission (U.P.S.C) conducts the entrance exam for National Defense Academy (N.D.A) .



The academy consist's of 3 Wings of joint training :

Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam:

Education qualification:

Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream.

NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

the fallowing information is about the NDA

The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC generally twice a year.

You can apply for the exam after passing 12th board examination.

10+2 passed students in any discipline, with any percentage of marks
are academically eligible for the exam.
You can also apply for the exam while studying in class 12th also but your candidature
remains valid only if you have the 12th passing certificate before commencement of
training.

Those who have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. subjects, could apply
for all the three wings (Army, Air Force and Navy) of defence services but others can
apply for Indian Army only.

The age limitation for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years at the time of commencement of training.
The exact cutoff date of births to decide the eligibility as per age, is indicated in the
advertisement of the examination.

The question papers of the examination use to be objective type only.
