Since you are a diploma student you are eligible to appear for the Lateral Entry Entrance Test. Through this score you will be able to join the second year of engineering. Most of the institutes do keep some seats for candidates of this profile. Make sure to have at least a 60% in Diploma. There is also a maximum age limit of 28 years for most of universities. IP university does have around 200 seats for the diploma holders. There are quite a few institutes like the JNU, DU, Thapar University which intake candidate. You need to check with Universities on the colleges which intake based on the entrance exams conducted. You can also get in touch with the authorities of the Diploma course as they will be able to guide you on the same. Make sure to check for the notifications as most of the exams will be held in the month of May.

why u r confused dear . THAPAR engg collage is best for u than IPU. THAPAR engg colloge has score good in top 5 pvt engg collages.Thapar engg leet to b.tech forms are available presently.

LEET Exam:

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering / Technology course of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana Board of Technical Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in the aggregate of all semesters.

Admission in 2nd of BTech shall be made on the basis of the inter se merit of OLET (LEET (Engg))- 2010 conducted by NIC online on the website www.onlinetesthry.nic.in
Performa:
Each Test would have 90 objective type multiple choice of questions. Each question will carry one mark. Separate rank-wise merit list for above two tests will be prepared and the admission will be made on the basis of inter-se rank obtained in the Entrance Test.

1 have atleast 60% marks in diploma for becoming eligible for Lateral Entry Test(LEET)

2 give the LEET test to take direct admission in b.Tech second year.This test is on the basis of diploma.LEET is a state level examination, so syllabus varies from state-to-state and from board-to-board

There are about 200 seats for diploma holders in B.Tech, these seats are not for a single branch but for all the branches in IP , for a single branch there are 10-15% seats.
