Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam

Indian Navy is the high technology service which focuses on the operation and maintenance of highly complicated ships, submarines and aircraft. It uses various machinery, sensors, weapons and equipments for diverse operations.

The platform for the weapon operations are managed by the sailors who are given intensive training in this organization. Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Examination is organized by the Indian Navy for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the posts of sailors.

Structure and Pattern of Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam
The examination is carried out twice in a year, usually in the month of July and December. Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices examination is a written test and it will be of objective type. The mode of instruction of question paper is bilingual, i.e. in English and in Hindi.
The test is carried for duration of 75 minutes. All the questions are asked based on the syllabus of matriculation. The question paper includes four sections of which students have to qualify all the sections separately. The four sections are

• Science
• Mathematics
• General knowledge
• English

Each question will be provided with four or five choices. Students have to pick the correct answer form this. Those qualifying the written test will be called for a Physical fitness test. However final selection is made after the interview.

Qualification Criteria for Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam
To appear for the Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice examination, students need to fulfill some qualifications and eligibility criteria. The following are the necessary requirements

• Educational qualification: Candidates must have pursued qualification in Matriculation or equivalent of any recognized board with Mathematics and Science with not less than 60% in aggregate. Those who secure below 60% in this level can also apply for the examination, if they have passed the HS examinations or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 55% or above.
• Age: The age of the applicants should be between 15 and 18 years.
• Nationality: Indian citizens alone are eligible for applying this examination or they must be a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee or a Person of Indian origin.
• Marital Status: Applicants must be unmarried male candidates.
• Physical Standards: (1) Minimum height should be 157cm (2) Minimum eye standard should be 6/6 for better eye and 6/9 for worst eye (3) Color perception should be CP II.

Application Procedure of Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam
The application for this examination is usually invited through the Employment news or any leading news papers. Candidates who are interested to attend the examination should send an application form in the prescribed format in either handwritten or typed. They must fill all the necessary fields carefully and the completed form should be submitted to the nearest Zonal Recruitment Offices before the last date.
