Indian Army Soldiers General Duty NER Exam

A career in Indian Army is considered as a very prestigious job in the Indian society. Indian Army Soldiers General Duty NER examination is conducted by the Indian army for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of soldiers.
This is conducted four times every year. The candidates selected through this examination are required to undergo training programme which makes them capable to dedicate themselves to the task of serving the country
Structure and Pattern of Indian Army Soldiers General Duty NER Exam
This written examination organized by the Indian Army for the posts of Sepoys/ Soldiers will include objective type questions. The medium of instruction of the question paper will be bilingual, i.e. in English and Hindi. The duration of the examination is 45 minutes and for maximum marks of 100.
The question paper includes four three sections. They are

• General Intelligence
• Mathematical Aptitude
• General Knowledge

Candidates have to pick the right answer from the multiple choices given for each question. They must qualify each section separately. Only those qualifying all the there sections will be selected for the interview. However final selection will be made based on merit.

Qualification Criteria for Indian Army Soldiers General Duty NER Exam
In order to attend this examination, candidates have to fulfill some qualification criterion. The following are the requirements put forward by the concerned examination board.

• Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation or any equivalent with Mathematics, Science and English as major subjects.
• Nationality: The candidates must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan/ Tibetan refugee/ a Person of Indian origin. The candidates other than Indian nationals should submit the eligibility certificate issued by Government of India.
• Marital status: Unmarried male candidates alone are eligible.
• Age: Candidates’ age must be between 16 years and 21 years
• Physical standards: (1) Minimum height should be at least 167cm (2) Chest measurement should not be less than 77cm on expansion. (3) Minimum weight should be at least 50kg (4) Candidates should be free from any communicable infections and should not have any medical or surgical deformities.

Application Procedure of Indian Army Soldiers General Duty NER Exam
The blank application form for this examination is available from the regional recruitment offices, Employment Exchanges, District Collector’s Office and Zila Parishads free of cost. Candidates are required to fill the application form in the prescribed format on a plain paper and send it via post to the specified address
