    hi friend ,

No its not important to take Non-Medical course for doing B.Sc Mathematics Honors.
You can do it from science(Medical) stream too but you should have MATHEMATICS AS A MAIN SUBJECT
in 10+2 Examination or you can say PCMB(Physics, chemistry, mathematics ,Biology) as a combination.

You should have mathematics as a main subject in any stream to do B.Sc honors in Mathematics .

    Good luck!!

B.Sc mathematics Honors can be done by medical student as well as medical student .
But there is one eligibility criteria for medical student as well as for non medical which
is that a student should have maths whether he is medical student or a non medical student .
I mean to say that a medical student should have maths in 12 th class .In 12 th class you have
all thesephysics ,chemistry , maths and biology . if you have all these subjects then you are eligible .
    Best of luck .
