When is the TET to be conducted in punjab and what is the process to apply??

The Teachers Eligibility Test is Conducted by the CBSE each year. This is common Test in all over India for all states.The persons that are eligible for that Exam is as follow :-



[COLOR="rgb(255, 0, 255)"]These persons are eligible for appearing the Central teacher Eligibility Test. The Qualification for this is as follow :-
Qualification for first to fourth Class:- You have passed the Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed in final year diploma.
OR
You have passed Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and appearing in the B.Ed or passed it from recognized board and University.
You have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education from a recognized university and HSC from a recognized Board.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized University.

Qualification eligibility for Sixth to Eighth Classes candidates :-
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final
Year of 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed from a recognized Board and from a recognized university.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. from a recognized University.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education
(B.Ed) from a recognized university and from a recognized Board.
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education
(B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued
from time to time in this regard.
Training to be undergone: A person with D.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed (Special Education)
qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme
in Elementary Education.
There is 5% Relaxation in% for ST/SC/OBC and other PH candidates.

CTET stands for CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST and this test is conducted for the recruitment of candidates for the Teachers Posts in the central government Schools.

->The eligibility criteria for the CTET is:

Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

1)You should have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks or appearing in final
year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

2)You should have passed Senior Secondary exams with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

3)You should have passed Senior Secondary exams with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.


Minimum Qualification for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

1)You must have passed Graduation or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

2)You must have passed Graduation with at least 50% marks or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

A Relaxation of up to 5% in marks is given to the candidates from the reserved categories, such as
SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

Cost of CTET application form::

i) For General/OBC candidates Rs.500/-
ii) For SC/ST/Differently abled candidates Rs.25/-

1) Apply Online from 8 April 2012 (8-4-2012)
2) Sale of CTET Bulletin and Application Form – 20 April 2012 to 10 May 2012
3) Last date for submission of application form – 15 May 2012 (both online and offline)
4) Date of Exam: 26 June 2011 (26-6-2012) – 1. Paper I – 9.30 – 11 am, 2. Paper II – 12.30 pm to 2 pm
