    Hi there!
    >>Of course yes!
-you can write IES(indian engineering servives examination) conducted by UPSC(union public service comission)
-but problem is that chemical engineering is no among the subjects of IES.
-The IES examination is held for the following cadres:
    Civil engineering
    Mechanical engineering
    Electrical engineering
    Electronics and communication engineering
-The final year students of B.tech and m.sc also may apply

    All the best

    Hi,

Sorry but you are not eligible for the IES Entrance examination after Completing your Chemical Engineering.

As you Know that the IES Exams are Conducted by the UPSC board. The exam notifications are published in the employment newspapers or updated in UPSC website. To appear for the IES only Candidates who have pursued their B-tech/B-E Degree in any one of the following Courses are Eligible:

    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
    Civil Engineering

The basic eligibility Criteria to appear for the exams are you must have attained 21 years and must not be more than 30 years of age. You must be a citizen of India. Upper age Relaxations applicable for SC/ST and OBC categories. To become an IES officer you need to appear for the CSAT exams which is divided into 2 phases i.e Conventional Paper and the Subjective paper which carries 1000 marks.

    Good Luck
