I'm a Commerce student but interested in Engineering. Is there any possible way for me to do Engineering course?

Since you are qualified in commerce stream, you are not eligible to apply for engineering course. Only those candidates who are qualified in science stream are eligible for engineering courses. You should study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in 12th class to apply for engineering course. You should secure 50% marks in 12th class to apply for this course. You need to attend AIEEE exam to secure admission for engineering. You should secure a good score in AIEEE to apply for B.E/B.Tech course. Only those who qualify in AIEEE will be short listed for counseling process.

I am extremely sorry to state that you are not anymore eligible for "Engineering". You would had been qualified if you would have opted for PCM in 12th and had passed it successfully.

So, according to AICTE , you are disqualified.so dont get Dishearted and now concentrate on Commerce subjects...

Sorry friend you interest in engineering filed has bloomed very late. With a commerce specialization you cannot get admission in engineering college.
You should have decided this bit earlier. For admission in engineering you must taken science in 11 & 12 with physics, Chemistry and mathematics as your subjects. Commerce is also a very promising career try to achieve success in your field.

As you are Commerce student You can't take the direct B.Tech/B.E admission after 12th................But there is an way to make your dream comes true. & that is you have to apply for diploma engineering through polytechnic exam which is based on secondary syllabus.After completion of diploma study you have to prepare for lateral exam which is based on your diploma syllabus for direct entry into the 2nd year of degree engineering study.

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for engineering...You should have opted for Science(PCM) stream instead of commerce so now it is not possible for you to do engineering..you are muc late for it..... You can try for CA which is also very good or you say its best when it comes to commerce..

My relative is studying 2 (2012-13) in Kerala Board and he is interested in civil engineering. If it is possible to join him in civil engeering. Kindly reply
