For studying Postgraduate courses in IITís, the major criterion is to pass the JAM entrance exam. JAM is the entrance test conducted by all IITís for the admissions in various M.Sc. and Post -B.Sc. courses. The candidates qualifying in JAM is eligible for admission in different departments of their choice provided they also satisfy the essential eligibility and minimum educational qualifications for the academic programme. NIT conducts its own exam for intake of candidates. Most of the IITís and NITís offer M.Sc courses only in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. In addition to this some IITís offer subjects like Geophysics, Statistics and Informatics etc. Admission to the M.Sc. courses is done through Joint Admission to IITís.

First of all, none of the IITs offer M Sc Electronics. The only M Sc courses that all IITs offer are for physics, chemistry and maths. Some IITs offer course on geology, geophysics, operational research, biotechnology, environmental science, etc. You need to take the JAM (Joint Admission Test to M Sc) for this. Most of these institutes offer M tech in Electronics. GATE scores are taken into consideration for admission to M tech. But only B tech and M Sc degree holders are eligible to take the GATE. Same is the case of NITs. The best option for you is to think of other institutes that offer this course.

Almost all IITs & NITs provide Mtech in electronics.
So , if you have done btech, then you can apply for GATE exam for admission in IITs /NITs/IIsc.
If you can obtain good rank, try to opt for IIT bombay or Delhi, they are known excellent in electrical field.

    M.SC IN ELECTRONICS:

    >>IIT STANDS FOR INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND NIT STANDS FOR NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

    >>ALMOST ALL THE IIT GIVING THE B.SC ELECTRONICS AND SOME NIT LIKE NIT TRICHY OFFERING THE B.SC ELECTRONICS.

    >>THE SAME COLLEGES ALSO OFFER THE M.SC IN ELECTRONICS.

    >>SO YOU FIRST CRACK THE IIT JEE AND AIEEE THEN YOU MAY SELECT WHICH IIT TO BE STUDIED AT B.SC IN ELECTRONICS.
