    IERT Engineering Diploma Entrance Exam

    The IERT Engineering Diploma entrance exam is carried out by the Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology for the admission of candidates into the Diploma courses in engineering offered by the institution. The IERT is a government college that has an affiliation to the Gautam Buddh Technical University (UP Technical University). The competition for this exam is very tough as the numbers of vacant seats that are available are less than the number of students who appear for the entrance examination.

    Structure and Pattern of the IERT Entrance Exam
    The paper of the entrance exam will comprise of topics from Mathematics, Biology and Science. The questions will be of the objective nature with multiple choices. The exam will have a time period of 3 hours. There is negative marking in the IERT exam. There is negative marking for erroneous answers. Every correct answer will be awarded 4 marks.

    Qualification Criteria for the IERT Entrance Exam
    Students who desire to sit for this exam must have a pass in class 10+2 with a background in science. The admittance of the candidates is done with accordance with the norms and provisions that are set by the UP Technical University.

    Application Procedure for the IERT Entrance Exam
    The admission forms for the examination can be obtained from the counter of the institution. Aspirants also have an alternative to acquire the form by post. The price of the form is Rs.1100. Students who would like to get their form by post must send a letter of request to the institution alongside a DD of Rs.1150. The DD must be taken in the name of the Director I.E.R.T. The final date for the submission of the form is on the 19th of April, 2011. Subsequent to this date, the form can be procured and submitted on the 21st of April, 2011. The students will have to remit a late fee of Rs.500 in addition to cost of the application.
