Is the Idea to choose B.Sc(H)-Computer Science is good if I know that I cannot get a seat in NIT through AIEEE?

I didn't do well in AIEEE and am not expecting good score to secure seat in good college like NIT.
I hope to do well in CBSE.
Is it wise to persue B. Sc (H) -computer science etc. from a good college of DU than to join a ordinary college for B Tech.
    please suggest
    I am in a fix.
    Vinod

    Hi There,
It is a good idea to opt for Bsc(H) in computer science After your 12th.After completion of your Bsc you can opt for Msc in computer science OR MCA(Masters in computer application). Both of these courses will be helpful for you.You will get a Masters degree plus the whole job opportunity will open up for you in the field of software industry.
if you opt for MCA that will be better comapred to MSc,If you are looking for good job in software biggies like TCS,INFOSYS,WIPRO.But if you want to grow in academic ladder then you can opt for Net,GATE after MSC and grow there.
I would like to inform you that each year approximately 8lakh engineering graduates are produced in India,So it's a huge number and if you are passing out from a reputed college then only it is worth.Because then only you can make a mark.So think twice before taking any decision and prepare well.Success will be yours.

B.Sc Computer science is a really good course. Doing B tech from a private college is not a good idea as there are numerous B tech/ B.E graduates who are hunting for a job. B.SC Computers from Deshbandhu college or hans raj college or from St Stephens (if you have got at least 94% in class XII) is sure to land you in a good MNC. Of course after Graduation, you can try for additional courses in IT from APTECH etc.

no... ita fully bad idea. Just join any reputed college if you are so much interested in computer science. you will get a good start as you will make inti INFOSYS.! INFY hires 30000 IT graduates each year.. so its not tough to make it.. i can suggest better if u mention your expected aieee rank

if u intersted in teaching feed then for B.SC...bcz after ur B.sc u need to do M.SC and now a days M.SC is not given much value again u need to do P.hd..
so i suggest that go for BBA in come ordinay college and start studying for "CAT EXAM"very serioully... and even take "CAT" coacahing from recongined institistion...as soon u finish ur BBA u can apply for CAT EXAM.....then u can go for "MBA" in top college like IIM AHMEDHABA....

But always remember that choosing ordinary college will be of no use .....and only to get into infosys can never be the only objective....so if you are interested in taking engineering as a carrier..wait for one year if u cannot make it to a good college this year....but don't be in any hurry... your whole future will depend upon your decision...go for a good engineering college..

Dear freind, choosing of any course depends on yous interest and capability. Both the courses are good and have good career.Now-a-days many students are pursuing b.tech due to which opportunities for job is decreasing.B.sc has good future now-a-days so you must go for it if you are interested. You must pursue it from a recognized college.

    Hi there...
    I have a great confusion...
    I scored 92.4% in class 12th exams...(PCM)
Now I am getting bsc(comp sc) in st stephens , maths n statistics in ramjas...
As for the engineering exams...I am getting some low college of IP University, Up, maharastra...
Though I managed to pass AIEEE but my rank is very low...so I won't be able to make it to a good college thr...

Do u suggest that I take up bsc(comp sc) in st stephens? What are the career prospects besides msc and mca...
do some good consultancy companies come 2 st stephens? also can i give GRE directly after bsc?

    Hi,
Its definitely a good choice to go for BSc Computer Science Hons. After this you have to complete MSC or MCA to get a proper corporate or lecturer job.
But I would not suggest this to you if you are inclined towards Engineering stream. Since you gave AIEEE and could not fare well and now you are thinking of computer science, so is it that, you would have gone for Engineering but due to the score its a barrier. Then I suggest to sit for AIEEE the next year and try to crack it. After BE your next option can be MNC technical jobs or MTech to join a lecturer job.

~> I think you must join B.Tech course.

~> B.Tech Graduates can get job very easily in Engineering Field.

~> Infosys, Bangalore hires IT Graduates at Rs.30000/month.

~> So, even if you do B.Tech from private university then also you can get good placements.

~> Though you have not performed well in AIEEE, even then you can get admission in Top Private University by Direct Admission or Management Quota.
