ICAR AIEEA Exam

Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) conducts an All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) for the Indian students to UG and PG courses of agriculture. The Bachelor Degree and Master Degree are offered for a wide variety of subjects. The specialization of the candidate is based on their interest for a particular subject. This AIEE score is accepted by the Agriculture Universities and National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal for their admission process. AIEE exam is not valid for Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Science.

Structure and Syllabus of ICAR AIEEA Exam

Separate tests are conducted for both UG and PG exams. The questions will be asked in English and Hindi.

The ICAR AIEEA entrance exam for the UG candidates consists of two streams. It consists of 180 multiple choice questions. Stream A includes the questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There is a choice for taking Agriculture instead of Biology. Stream B includes questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

A candidate can select either stream A or stream B for the exam. If the candidate selects stream A, he will get admission for the following courses like

For ICAR AIEEA PG entrance exam consists of 180 questions based on the candidate’s specialization subject. It includes multiple type questions and cross-matching questions.

Eligibility Criteria for ICAR AIEEA

For applying to the ICAR AIEEA UG Exam the candidate should complete the higher secondary examination with at least 50% marks with PCM, PCMB, PCA or PCB subject combination. The final year students can also apply for the test but they should fulfill the above qualification before the time of counseling. Those candidates who have backlogs in plus two are not eligible to apply for the test.

The candidates who have graduation under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 years in the following streams can apply for the AIEEA PG test:

Certain seats are also reserved for the candidates having graduation in 10+2+3 years programme. The candidates should have 60% marks in the graduation and an Overall Grade point of 6.60/10.00, 3.25/5.00, 2.60/4.00 to apply for the test.

Application Procedure for ICAR AIEEA

The applications forms can be obtained directly from the Agricultural Universities, Syndicate Bank branches and also from the five ICAR institutions by the payment of the fee. The cost for the UG application form is Rs.400/- and PG application form is Rs.500/-.The candidates can use the printed copy of the downloaded application form from the website. The completely filled form together with a DD of specified amount should be forwarded to the address mentioned in the information bulletin.
