Seriously speaking, it is not at all a Piece of Cake to crack IIT-JEE.
If you think it is easy to crack then you should wish for rank
better than your expectations in IIT-JEE.

If you want to do engineering, you should give your 100% to it.
So, I would suggest you to drop the idea of taking Biology in 12th.
Give your 100% hard work to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
subjects so that you could do well in 12th board exams as well
as in IIT-JEE. If you want to do engineering from an IIT, Biology
is completely a burden, nothing else!

    Hello,

you must decide 200% to whether you choose bio or math and prepare full to that.
iit is not easy it is one of the toughtist exanm of thge country so if you expect that you must learn atleast 12 hrs per day than think of iit if do not than dont think about it

Thumbs up Re: I am interested to take biology after 10th, but also want to study in IIT. What to do now?

Dear friend, you are confused very much. You are talking about two different pathways, one side you want to opt medical stream on another side you want admission in IIT college.SO, getting admission in IIT is not so simple, for that you have to opt non-medical stream(PCM) in 11th and 12th.Opting medical stream will give options only choice in medical lines and commerce lines too.
Firstly decide that what you want to become in future and then choose any stream. It is good to see that you want admission in IIT but it will be not possible if you joined medical stream. If you want to become engineer in future then choose PCM stream otherwise choose biology stream. Here I am giving you list of non-medical stream courses and list of entrance exams.

    LIST OF NON-MEDICAL COURSES
    >ENGINEERING
    >NAVY
    >BCA
    >BANKING
    >AIR-FORCE
    >B.SC

    LIST OF MEDICAL COURSES
    >MBBS
    >BDS
    >D.PHARMA
    >B.PHARMA
    >BHMS
    >BAMS
    >DMLT
    >B.SC

    LIST OF NON-MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMS
    >>AIEEE
    >>IIT-JEE
    >>UPTU
    >>AMU

    LIST OF MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAMS
    >>CPMT
    >>AIPMT
    >>JIPMER
    >>AFMC
    >>BHU

IIT-JEE is toughest engineering entrance examination in india
if you have not a definite aim and want continue with both biology and mathematics, then have to do extra hard work, there is nothing beyond hard work, you do your Hs result better first to make you eligible for IIT entrance examination
if your aim is definite on IIT you can left biology, and do hard work with PCM,do your work everyday, never leave for next day,try to understand you topics, calculation and their application.maximum IIT entrance questions are applied type.
    all the best.

Re: I am interested to take biology after 10th, but also want to study in IIT. What to do now?

    Hi.

-->If you are wishing to study in IIT then you must concentrate on Mathematics rather than Biology.

-->If I would say Cracking IIT entrance exam is not that easy, its very tough.

-->You have to give your best in the two years towards 10+2 and at the same time prepare for IIT entrance xam.

-->Because After completion of 10+2 you can avail only one chance to appear for IIT.

-->Because IIT gives 2 chances to appear for its entrance, once in the year you complete 10+2 nd the next year.

-->So you should be that much talented to crack IIT exam.

-->But as you are interested to take Biology you can take 4 subjects in 12th.

-->That is Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and Biology that is allowed to you.

-->Mathematics and Biology at the same time will be big burden for you.

-->So I advice if you want become engineer then concentrate on Mathematics rather than Biology.

    All the best.

    Thanks & regards.

"You can take science stream with Maths as your main subject and Biology as additional subject"

But IIT is really not easy to crack. So, my suggestion to you is to take science stream with maths as your main subject. If you want to crack IIT, then you are required to give your 100% effort in three subjects, that is, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Biology as an additional subject might lower your efficiency in IIT exam.

Well Honey, both cannot happen at the same time. See whether in IIT or JEE you have be efficient in the subjects of physics, chemistry and maths. Also if you are more efficient in the first two subjects the more better it will be for you. So as obviously you would understand that in your combination you must have mathematics as your additional subject along with Physics and Chemistry. You can also take any of the other two subjects as an additional. But the bottom line is having a biology in your subject combination of the higher secondary. Now since you insist on taking biology in your science combination, are your sure that you want to go for IIT and AIIMS or other medical college. If still that is the case then I can suggest you to go for AIEEE. Here having biology in the combination is acceptable but also having mathematics is compulsory. I would still ask you to rethink about the way you want your career to be. If you really don't see yourself in medical or other line and you most definitely see yourself as an engineering candidate, then you can follow the above solution I gave you.

Its bit a confused question for u. but u can take both the subjects means biology and maths as additional subject. after getting the result of 12th u can easily been able to decide what"s good for you. And in which field u can go.

    Hi,

Since you are interested in joining IIT,you need to clear IIT-JEE with great scores. With a good cut off percentage in maths, physics, chemistry and good entrance exam score, you will be able to make into IIT.There are several courses related to biology stream like biochemistry, genetics engineering, microbiology and many more are offered there.

    Good Luck!!!

    Hello friend....

*IIT is a national level examination conducted for medicine and engineering to get admission in the top university across India you have to be very intelligent to get seat in IIT

*You should have a nice grip in the subjects

    --physics

    -- chemistry

    -- maths.

*So as obviously you would understand that in your combination you must have mathematics as your additional subject along with Physics and Chemistry.

    * You can also take any of the other two subjects as an additional. But the bottom line is having a biology in your subject combination of the higher secondary.

Re: I am interested to take biology after 10th, but also want to study in IIT. What to do now?

As you have mentioned that you are interested in biology but you dreamed to study in IIT. So dear its not easy to choose both path.
First thing is that you decide what you have to choose :
    Biology OR Maths
Its not easy to crak IIT exams. For this you have to labour more and have to do workhard towards Maths, physics, chemistry.
So dear first decide what you want to do after 10th.
If you want to go in medical stream than choose Biology
Or if interested in IIT than choose maths.physics,chemistry.
The decission is totally depends on your interest .so decide it first whatever you have dreamed for your future.
So think seriously because it is not easy to study both simultaneously.so it is better for you to choose one path.

First you should be sure what you like to choose for your future study medical or non medical.
Dear its not easy to crack the the exams of IIT JEE.
So think and decide what you have to do.
For IIt JEE you have to study maths.physics, chemistry at +2
    as your main subjects.
