HP Common Pre-Medical Test

Himachal Pradesh University conducts the HP CPMT exam. The students appear this exam for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in various private and Government Institutes of Himachal Pradesh. There are 5 Medical and Dental institutes for which the admission is done through HP CPMT Exam. All this institutes are the top institutes in Himachal Pradesh.

Structure and Pattern of HP CPMT

The good score in the written test is the basic requirement for the selection of the candidate. The written test consists of objective type questions from the topics of Physics, Chemistry, Biology from the plus one and plus two syllabus. This test is to evaluate the candidates’ basic knowledge in the subjects. Those who clear the written test are called for the next round that is interview and counseling. One who successfully completes all these stages are eligible for the admission.

Qualification Criteria for HP CPMT Exam

The candidates who have completed plus two with the subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from any govt. recognized board with 50% marks can apply for the test. The candidate must be of at least 17 years of age and not more than 25 years of age at the time of admission. The final year plus two students can also apply for the test but should have got their final year results by the time of counselling.

Application Procedure of HP CPMT Exam

The candidate can obtain the application form and the prospectus directly from the University Exam enquiry counter located in Shimla by paying Rs.1150/-.They can also send a request to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), H.P University, Summer Hill, Shimla along with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1200/-in the name of Finance Officer, H.P. University for getting the prospectus by post. An envelope in which the candidates address and telephone number is mentioned in block letters is also to be send with the request. The completely filled application form must be forwarded before the last date of submission.
