    How and from where should I start preparation for IAS?

    sir/ madam i would like to know how and from where to start the prepration?? actually i am a beginner and i have just started with the process of matter collection . please enlighten me >

    First, i want to say the eligibility criteria for ias. Educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university and age limit is 21 to 30years. Then apply union public service commission exams. It has three process for selection .they are preliminary, mains and interview. For preliminary exams you prepare with indian economics, history, geography, civil laws and many social matters. Also you purchase many books for ias. Prepare well. All the best

    Three-step process is:

    In this two tests of two hours each.

    In this 9 tests:

    IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES and recruitment of candidates for this post is done through
    an exam called Civil services and this exam is conducted by Union public service commission once in a year.

    The notification for this exam comes in the month of january and the exam is conducted in the month of June.

    To start preparation for IAS you can either join any coaching insitute or you can refer some books for the preparation.
    The books are specified below.

    THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS IS:

    1)A candidate need to be a graduate in any field from any recognized university.

    2)A candidate must be an INDIAN CITIZEN.

    3)A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years.

    4)There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

    5)The candidate's in their final year are also eligible for the exam but they have to submit their original certificates when they will be joining.

    6)Number of attempts: There is some restrication on the number of attempts according to the category.

    For SC/ST there is no limit on number of attempts.
    For OBC A candidate has 7 number of attempts.
    For Genreal category we have 4 number of attempts.


    7)The exam conducted is in three stages:

    1)CSAT(Civil services aptitude test)
    2)MAINS
    3)PERSONAL INTERVIEW.

    Dear friend, first you read the eligibility criteria for IAS exam and choose your best optional subject.Go through the syllabus and arrange good study material for prepration. Analyse the last 15 years question papers. You can join Chanakya IAS academy in delhi to crack this exam.
