    How to take admission in IISc Bangalore for aeronautical engineering? Is it necessary to give both exams i.e., GATE and Entrance test? Is it not sufficient to give only Entrance test exam?

    How to take admission in IISC Bangalore for aeronautical engineering course?
    Is there necessary to give both exams (GATE and entrance test) for this ? only entrance test exam is not enough ?

    to do diploma in Mechanical engineering,

    see, if you can get very good GATE score then it is not necessary to give both exams i.e., GATE and Entrance test.

    only gate will be sufficient to get admission.

    Indian Institute of Science offers 4 Master degree programmes -
    1. Master of Engineering (ME),
    2. Master of Technology (M Tech),
    3. Master of Design (M Des) and
    4. Master of Management (M Mgt).

    But In M.Tech program Aeronautical engineering course is not offered by IISC,
    It provide only Aerospace Engineering under ME programs.

    Aerospace Engineering course details : -

    It's deals with topic listed -
    • Structures,
    • Aerodynamics,
    • Propulsion,
    • Control and Guidance of Aircraft,
    • Rockets and Spacecraft.

    • Duration - 2 years.

    Education qualification :-
    • candidates having Bachelorís degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

      Or

    • A students having Masterís degree in Science disciplines including Physics with Electronics/ Instrumentation/Geology/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences as applicable to individual department offering M Tech programmes.

    Selection Procedure :-
    • For M.E / M Tech Programs Candidates are selected based upon the rank obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2010 or 2011) (Only GATE score is sufficient for entry)

    • And For Master of Design course they are selected based upon GATE or Common Entrance Examination (CEED 2010 or 2011).

    my name is kanchi deep bhardwaj i live in bangalore, i have done BCA in computer science(2009) and MBA in IT(2011), bt I am very much interested to become an astronaut , so pls suggest me a stream or a way to go ahead to become an astronaut.

    In the GATE exam what do we have to choose AE or EC if you are a student of ECE but want to apply for ME in AE in IISc?
