In order to study M.Tech course you need to complete your graduation first. B.E/B.Tech candidates can apply for M.E/M.Tech courses. Candidates need to pursue graduation from a recognized institute to apply for M.Tech course. Even MCA candidates can take this exam. Notifications for the same will be published by each college or university. Admission for M.Tech course will be based on common entrance examinations. Candidates need to appear for GATE exam to secure admission for the same in reputed colleges institutes like IIT, NIT etc. Some institutes conduct their own test but the pattern of these tests is similar to GATE.

Re: How to study M.Tech course?

Well, you want to study M.Tech. But have you done your B.Tech or some master degree earlier? Let me tell you that to be able to do M.Tech you must have a 4 years of educational level may be in Engineering or in Computer Science or in Physics or some other stream, post your plus 2. So some people opt for a B.Tech and then go for M.Tech, in that way only one graduation will be necessary. Some go for a 2 year or 3 year Master degree in between. This can be M.Sc or MBA or MCA. This way you will have two Master's degree after you pass your M.Tech. Some people also go for a double graduation first and increase there knowledge in technological domain and then come for M.Tech. By no means can your graduations stream be of that of a pass course or from an arts stream. Now after this eligibility and you have minimum and above 50-60% in your previous academic career(depending on the institute)then you approach the institute. Sit for their qualifying examination. You have to score above a certain cut-off in that examination set by the institute itself and then you sit for the interview to finally get shortlisted for this program.
