For IAS, you need to know the general Knowledge, Hisotry, current affairs, Geogeaphy, Economics etc. So, The best is to take the general science paper.

    PREPARATION OF IAS EXAM:

    >>IAS STANDS FOR INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE.TO BECOME AN IAS OFFICER YOU MUST CRACK THE UPSC EXAM.

    >>THE BASIC ELIGIBILITY OF THE EXAM IS YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED A DEGREE COURSE AND THE AGE LIMIT MUST BE FROM 21 YEARS TO 30 YEARS OF AGE.

    >>THE SYLLABUS FOR THE EXAM IS GENERAL STUDIES AND THE OPTIONAL SUBJECTS.

    >>YOUR DOUBT IS WHETHER WHICH SUBJECT TO TAKE AS OPTIONAL SUBJECT.

    >>JUST TAKE THE ENGINEERING SUBJECT AS YOUR OPTIONAL SUBJECT.BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT IT.
