Candidates should complete graduation in engineering to apply for IES exam conducted by UPSC. Graduation should be secured in any streams like Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Communications Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering etc. Those who have completed M.Sc degree in Wireless Communication/Radio Engineering/Radio Physics/Electronics etc can also apply for this exam. Maximum age limit to attend this exam is 30 years. Apart from technical questions, there will be questions on Language Skills, GK etc in the exam. You can refer previous year question paper and other standard books as part of your preparation for this exam. You should practice mock tests. If interested, you can also join coaching institutes for better preparation for this exam.
