Re: How to prepare myself for IAS exam?

    Hi Dude..........

IAS Preparation needs one quite commitment for appearing to the examination to get success and also first know about the IAS examination and the syllabus or the pattern which is to be followed for becoming the IAS officer and some of the main rounds which you need to clear for becoming the IAS officer.....

The selection procedures for the IAS selections are conducted in three different ways mainly and they are..
    Preliminary Examination
    Main Examination
These are the main three rounds which are conducted for appearing to the IAS selections...

And now coming to the preparation for the IAS selections. There is one important thing which you need to remember is that there is negative marking in the preliminary examination and the there will be deduction of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer...

Dude The preliminary examination preparation should be at least started from 10 to 12 months before and this is actually of the CSAT which is also known as the Civil services Aptitude Test and this CSAT examination is conducted in two rounds for the selection process...
In order to crack the prelims you need to take well and good coaching and also should refer the best books for the preparation of the CSAT examination...

The Main examination is also known as the descriptive type examination and the Mains examination are conducted for the candidates who had completed the Prelims with the good scores...
the main examination you need to select two papers for the descriptive from the available options of subjects, you need also to get well prepared for this examination.Should select the subjects in which you are well known and in which you had good grip
These are the civil services selections procedures and the candidates who had been selected in the recruitment should have to qualify all the rounds and after the qualifying all the rounds you can get in to the civil services...
