    Hi

Civil Services Examinations are the ones which are organized by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and they are mainly conducted for the recruitment of the various officials for the Civil Service jobs.

The Basic Eligibility Criteria for the CS exam are :

    • A candidate should be a minimum graduate in any stream with a minimum 50% aggregate from a recognized college or university.
    • His/Her age should be within 21-30 years if GEN category. A relaxation of 3-5 years is given to the upper age limit.

-> So now as you say, that you have completed your class 12th, the first priority that you have is to take up your graduation in some stream.

-> Civil Services has no boundations to any streams. So you can be from any of the 3 stream background i.e Science, Commerce, or Arts.

-> Take up your graduation according to your interest, and once you complete it or you are in your final year, you may apply for the Civil Service Exams.

-> You have to select a subject, while you are doing graduation and prepare that for the CS exams. You may also take up some coaching.

For any more information regarding this exam, Please Click Here

    Hope this helps

    All the best.

Re: How to prepare for Civils after completing 12th?

It is really very good that you are interested in civil exam right after your 12th.But you should be eligible to apply for that once you complete your graduation.Give emphasis on civil exam but not to much as you have to complete your graduation. For now study for 1 or 2 hours daily & try to solve the question papers every sunday. But once you complete your graduation join good coaching class for better preparation. For civil exam choose only those subjects which you had in graduation because it will benefits you & would be easy to understand.Improve your GK as much as you can because sometimes even a good candidate failed in interview due to lack of knowledge even after scoring good marks in PT as well as written test.
BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR FUTURE
